She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harris and Mozelle Harris; and her sister Andrea Harper. She is survived by: her husband Elliot Dempsey; her daughter Lanise Reid (Anthony); her sister Janel Harris; her nephews, Jamaal Harris, Jamil Harris-Ballenger and Tyler Dempsey; her niece Ashley Dempsey; her great-niece Sakaiya Martin-Harris; and her sister-in-law Barbara Dempsey.
