She was predeceased by : her parents, William Henry Burley and Lillian Garrett Burley (Robert Goodman); her husband Robert Goodman; her daughter Jerilyn Goodman; her siblings, Grant Burley, Ray Burley, Robert Burley, Oscar Burley, Irene Parker, Hilda Malette, Janice Booker, Inez Turner and Beulah Rose; and her grandson Lamont Johnson.

She is survived by : her siblings, Fannie Mae Groce (Anne), Agnes Fields and Grafton Burley (Linda Burley); her daughters, Jacqueline Smith (Gregory Smith), Gwendolyn Goodman and Joycelyn Goodman; her grandchildren, Shantel Smith, William Simmons (Tamika Simmons), LaCurtis Johnson, Tranay Smith, Shanay Smith, Dayvon Simmons, Tavion Johnson (Shawntaye Johnson), Kayla Dillard and Jeria Simmons; her great grandchildren, Jhaiyel, Hasan, Taylor, Kuhmora, Taryn, Klay and Tarasen; her great great grandchild Zoelani; and her close friends, Rita and Audrey.

She enjoyed shopping, donating to charity and browsing her Fingerhut catalog.
