Willa M. Brown Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Singley-DeWatt and Ernest Singley-DeWatt; her husbands, J. T. Brown and Moses Deas Jr.; her son Moses S. Deas; her grandson Eric S. Bishop; and her siblings, Alice Singley, Geneva Sligh, Sarah Graham, Rickie Singley and Ernest "Bubba" Singley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda S. Bishop (Wayne) of Newberry and Vickie D. Wilkerson (Lawrence, Jr.) of Bowie, MD; her sister Hazel Mangum-Starks of Newberry; and her grandchildren, Lawrence Wilkerson III (Lola) of Texas and Kendra Wilkerson of Bowie. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter; one brother-in-law; six sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous close friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lincoln Park United Methodist (1301 North Carolina Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002). A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
