She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Milam and Genevieve C. Villate; her stepfather Edmond Villate; and her cousin Melvin Johnson (Earl McDaniel). She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth and Kyle McDaniel of Washington, D. C.; and her stepchildren, Sheila Berry of Raeford, NC, Keith McDaniel (Twyla) of Raleigh, NC and Cheryl Daniels (Jamar) of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by many grandchildren and other loving relatives.
