Barbara leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Barbara’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Barbara will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Allen Gicker and Edyth Gicker (Suppe); her husband John; and her brothers, Jacob, Larry and Gary Gicker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Louise Schofield and Linda Jane Schofield; and her brother David Gicker. She is also survived by her family, her dedication to the children.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beeson Funeral Home (2053 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE 19702). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Barby's memory.
