He was predeceased by : his parents, Herbert Ackinson and Doris Barton (Smith); and his siblings, Austin "Bucky" Buchanan, Barbara "Barbie" Mooney, Nancy Zellers, Diane Reedy, Harold Engle and Jennifer Sampson.
He is survived by : his children, Julia Ackinson and Shaun Anderson; his sisters, Mary "Pixie" Foust (Harry) and Jeanette Neff (Mark); and his niece Sherry Buchanan. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many other nieces and nephews.
