He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Mason (Laddey) and James Mason; and his wife Florence Mason (Kulesza). He is survived by: his sister Dorothy Bourgart; his children, John Mason Jr. (Joan), David Mason Sr., Thomas Mason Sr. (Christine) and Cheryl Mason; and his grandchildren, Anthony Mason, John Mason III, David Mason Jr., Christopher Mason, Megan McCole and Tommy Mason Jr..
