It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence George Gicker of Bear, Delaware, who passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Allen and Edythe E. Gicker (Suppe); his brothers, Jacob Gicker and Gary Gicker; his son Robert Wessell; and his grandson Billy Wessell.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca R. Gicker; his children, Beth Gicker Stansell (Steve) of North Carolina and Dan Gicker (Nadia) of Oregon; his siblings, Barbara Schofield and David Gicker; and his sons, Art Wessell (Colleen), Mitchell Wessell (Tracey), Mark Wessell (Donna) and Clay Wessell (Patti). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
