He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Wilbur and Gussie Sayne (Price); his wife Bernice Sayne (Barron); his daughter Charlene "Cissy" Sayne; his siblings, Eugene Sayne, Ralph Sayne, Beulah Sayne, Ruby Beatrice Means and Charlotte Lowe Stockdale; and his son-in-law George Dougherty.
He is survived by: his sister Judy Moshier (Scott); his children, Stacey Dougherty and Robert Sayne; his grandchildren, George Dougherty II (Ashleigh), Katie Johnson (Erik) and Brittany Dougherty (Alex); and his great grandchildren, Ivy Johnson, Ember Johnson, William Katorkas and George Dougherty III.
