Francis Slahetka Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Francis Slahetka of Bethany Beach, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Francis shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Francis farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Slachetka and Irene Sniegowski; and his wife Mary Frances Sieja Slahetka. He is survived by: his children, Eli Glenn (Jon), Tom Slahetka (Alicia), Cathy Cornell (Dan), Mary Long (Dale), Ann Winklbauer (Kevin) and Marla Ord (Mike). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ann's Catholic Church (691 Garfield Pkwy, Bethany Beach, DE 19930). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Frank's name to Mason Dixon VFW Post #7234, 29265 Marshy Hope Way, Ocean View, DE 19970.
