He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Freebery Sr. and Florence Freebery (Kelly); and his brother Michael J. Freebery. He is survived by: his brothers, Daniel Freebery (Diane) and Patrick Freebery (Lisa); his children, Janay (Bruce Hannah), Kasey (Graham Burbage), Mark (Nancy Bennett) and Ann Marie (Brett Workman); and his grandchildren, Marie Louise, Kelly, Hannah, Lily, Jack, Addison, Julia, Gavin and Sadie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St Ann Parish Catholic Church (691 Garfield Pkwy, Bethany Beach, DE 19930). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Delaney Hall.
