Dorleen leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Dorleen’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Dorleen will carry forward her memory in their hearts.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William C. Betts and Doris R. Betts. She is survived by: her husband Robert Messick (Bob); and her brothers, David Betts, Dennis Betts (Amy) and Dan Betts. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Georgetown Chapel (609 E Market St, Georgetown, DE 19947). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Short Funeral Services (609 E Market St, Georgetown, DE 19947).
