Shirley Irene Avery Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Irene Avery of Bridgeville, Delaware, born in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2026 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Hatton Jr. and Shirley Pinkston; and her grandson Kyle Avery. She is survived by: her husband Douglas E. Avery of Bridgeville, DE; her children, Douglas W. Avery Sr. (Brandi Avery), Christina Avery Condon (Richie Condon), Heidi Cormier, Amy Lee and Leslie Ann; her grandchildren, Douglas W. Avery Jr., Hayden M. Avery, Tyler Wells, Ashley Lydick, Kaylee Cormier, Julio Toro and Kaleb McClellan; and her siblings, Leslie Stroud, Melody Stockman, Valerie Bothelo, Wendy Hatton and Sandra McKenzie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
