She was predeceased by: her parents, Hattie F. Fortenberry (Camp) and Thurman F. Fortenberry. She is survived by: her husband Thomas W. Waxter, Jr.; her son Dr. Daniel Waxter (Jamie); her granddaughters, Madelyn Cárcamo, Natalia and Brinleigh Waxter; her son Joey (Tyla); her grandchildren, Evalea, Aria, Ezra and Avenly Waxter; her brother Donald Fortenberry (Julie); and her sibling's children, John Fortenberry and Annie Fortenberry.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
