It is with sadness that the passing of Gary W. Stevenson of Claymont, Delaware is shared. Gary, born on June 29, 1950, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Gary will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Gary by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Gary is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Gary’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Thomas and Claudia Stevenson (Patton); and his brother James Stevenson. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Stevenson (Monteith); his daughters, Aleisha Stevenson and Laura Stevenson (Salvatore Lopresti); his stepsons, David Worrell and Daniel Worrell; and his sisters, Debbie Sladek and Judy Alessandrine. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home (301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
