With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Virginia Lee Flood (Claymont, Delaware), born in Salem, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Virginia left this world on July 8, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the vast expanse of eternity, Virginia shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Virginia farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her sister Bettie Jane. She is survived by: her children, Sandra, Michael James, Victoria and Patrick; and her brothers, Robert, William, David and Paul. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gebhart Funeral Homes (3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703).
In honor of Virginia's generous spirit, the family kindly asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cape May County Zoo.
