Joseph Charles Bonello Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Charles Bonello in Clayton, Delaware, who passed away on April 22, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Joseph Charles farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Joseph Charles is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Prince Bonello and Lida Bonello; and his wife Valerie. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert (Kathy) and Diane; and his daughters, Victoria (Mark Cosner), Kimberly (Michael McGinnis) and Deborah Bonello (Jamie Scott). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the American Legion Post 14 (107 W Glenwood Ave, Smyrna, DE 19977). The military honors was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery (2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701).
