She was predeceased by: her parent Jennifer Sampson; her grandmother Mildred "Mem" Meck; and her aunts and uncles, Barbara "Barbie" Mooney, Nancy Zellers, Diane Reedy, Austin "Bucky" Buchanan, James "Jimmy" Atkinson and Harold Engle.
She is survived by: her brother Jeff Sampson; her nephews, Justin and Jaxson Sampson; her aunts, Jeannette Neff (Mark) and Mary "Pixie" Foust (Harry); her uncle Harry Davis; her cousins, Tonda Heath (Angelo), Kristine Zellers, Sherry Buchanan (Ronnie), Jessica Heath, Kayla Heath, Alexis Zellers (AJ), Za'Myriah, Lee'Ona and Jayden; and her pet Quincy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Serena's name to organizations that support drug and alcohol counseling or advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, causes that were close to her heart.
