It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Collins of Dagsboro, Delaware, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Kerr and Maryjane "Scotty" Kerr (Magee); her husband Bill Collins; her children, Scott Collins, Bambi Collins Nilan and Brenda Collins Showalter; her granddaughter Catherine Adkins; and her sister Florence Kerr Dampman.
She is survived by: her daughter Colleen Collins Murphy of Dagsboro, DE; her grandchildren, Amanda Showalter of Millsboro, DE, Sarah Murphy of Millsboro, DE, Krista Showalter of Frankford, DE and Colin Nilan (Whitney) of Seaford, DE; and her sister Bobbie Kerr Quillen (Bill) of Georgetown. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Doris' name to St. George's United Methodist Church, 34337 Omar Rd., Frankford, DE 19945.
