He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Watkins and Ruth Maxine Huber (Cartwright); his brother Robert Watkins; and his half-brother Gary Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Saundra J. Watkins (Dennis); his children, Eric Watkins (Tammy) of Millsboro, Heather McCabe (George) of Selbyville, Shawn Watkins (Kasey) of Huntington Beach and Michael Bailey (Missy) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Connor Watkins (Gabriella), Luke McCabe, Brynn McCabe, Owen Watkins, Zoey Watkins, Isla Watkins, Vera Watkins, Steve Bailey (Melissa) and Aaron Bailey (Santana); his great grandchildren, Colton Watkins, Wyatt Watkins, Jackson Bailey, Maris Bailey and Millie Bailey; and his half-brother William Huber of Stafford, Virginia..
