It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita Catherine Heacook of Delmar, Delaware, born in Paterson, New Jersey, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Carr and Catherine Carr (Feeney); her husband Joseph B. Heacook, Sr.; her children, Bethann Heacook, Joseph B. Heacook, Jr. and Keith A. Heacook; her sister Carol Garth; her siblings-in-law, Alpha Garth and Dolores Carr; and her brother Thomas Carr.

She is survived by: her children, Maryalice Berrios (Fernando), Thomas Heacook, Kathleen Heacook, Anita Feaster (Dan) and Tracey West-Ney; her grandson Matthew Heacook; her daughter-in-law Susan Heacook; and her siblings, Marguerite Schwartz (Roger) and Kevin Carr (Margaret). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
