He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva A. Whaley and Granville D. Whaley; his stepmother Icie Hazel Whaley; and his siblings, Ruth Lynch, Robert Whaley and Joan Slaughter.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Mae Rhodes Whaley; his children, Wendy Whaley-Little (Russ) and Wade Whaley (Lisa); his grandchildren, Jared Campbell (Cassie), Luke Campbell (Daisy), Megan Todd (Jake), Ashley Beaver (Matt), Jessica Wood (Josh) and Danielle Angello (AJ); his great grandchildren, Kinsley Todd, Teagan, Landon, Lola Beaver and Beau Angello; his siblings-in-law, Jack Rhodes, Catherine, Shirley and Beverly Rhodes; his close friends, David, Linda Hastings, Linda Justice, Bobby, Sandy Dickerson, Jim, Karin Adkins and Hardees; and his pet Daisey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
