He was predeceased by: his father Charles; his pet Duke; and his son Matthew Chase Melson. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Melson (Feather); his children, Charles W. Melson, III (Kristine), Jessica Leigh Melson, Caine Alexander Melson and Jasmine Melson; his grandson Frank Melson; and his sister Valerie Straub (Bill). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
