We announce the death of Edna Marie Silvia of Sharptown, Maryland, who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 98. Edna will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry G. Fletcher and Lottie Walker Fletcher; her husband Thomas "Eddie" Silvia; her grandson Darren Gosnell; and her siblings, Thomas Fletcher, Una Bradd, Herman Fletcher, Ted Fletcher, Ned Fletcher and Inez Cordrey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Gosnell (Doug) of Sharptown and Sandra Silvia of Sharptown; her grandchildren, Eric Gosnell (Chrystianna) and Lorie Hovatter (David); her great grandchildren, Trevor Gosnell (Jacob), Hailey Naugle (Andrew), Peyton Naugle and Kayla Middleton (Joshua); her great great grandchildren, Palmer and Barrett Vance; and her sister-in-law Jackie Eberts (Greg). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt Vernon Church (300 Church St, Sharptown, MD 21861). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
