He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Larry Parsons; and his in-laws, Harry and Bessie Parsons. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Mae Carbaugh (Parsons); his children, Ernest Carbaugh, Jr., Michael Carbaugh (Dana Basner) and Jenny Lee; his grandchildren, Colby, Aaron, Morgan, Camryn, Alexis, Paul and Jeffrey; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Bentley and Madison; his siblings-in-law, David Parsons (Rita), Mary Williams (Jesse) and Nancy Parsons; and his niece Bobbi Sue.
