He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Kinzer Ellis Jr. and Betty White Ellis of Delmar; and his sister Paula Baumann. He is survived by: his wife Teresa M. Ellis; and his children, Carrie Bornes (Michael), Mollie Tichava and Ross Ellis (Jennifer). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, his in-laws and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Short Funeral Home (13 E Grove St, Delmar, DE 19940). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
