He is survived by: his wife Sheila Wilkins McDowell; his children, Michael McDowell, Kevin McDowell (Linda), Dawn Conaway (Steve), Kelly Huckins (John), Erica Taylor and Josh McDowell; his grandchildren, Taylor, Sean, Crystal, Victoria, Bryce, Brandon, Natalie, Dakota, Nicholas, Brooklyn, Jordyn and Jaxon; his siblings, William McDowell (Lorraine), Connie Coodey and Kay Smith (Paul); and his sisters-in-law, Dorothea Winter and Sali McDowell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
