He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Tina; sons: Michael Phillips, Jr (Ashley), David Phillips (April); daughter: Bethany Copeland (Jason); grandchildren: Nate Phillips, Hope Phillips, Derek Copeland, Abby Phillips, Trey Copeland, Brielle Phillips, Brady Copeland, Maddy Phillips, Izzy Phillips; brothers: Kenny Phillips (Shirley), Milton Phillips (Rosalind), Tom Phillips; sisters-in-law: Lisa Palmer (Glenn), Angela Mitchell (Ron), Mindy Phillips; brother-in-law: Ray Jones; parents: Kenneth Phillips, Catherine Phillips Lane; granddaughter: Gracie Phillips; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Delmar Church of God of Prophecy. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
