She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Burger Jr. and Virginia Laramore Burger; her brother-in-law William E. Velvel Jr.; and her pet Lucy. She is survived by: her sisters, Patricia Velvel of Dover and Connie Burger of Dover; her niece Stefanie Velvel Benson (Jeff Benson); her great-niece Caroline Paige Benson; and her great-nephews, Rowan Thomas Benson and Brayden Patrick Benson.
Her burial will be private and the family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to: First State Animal Center, SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, Delaware 19934.
