He is survived by: his wife Joan; his sister Faye Ellison (William); his children, David Brown (Jill), Susan Hoffmann (Ken) and Jean Boyton Brown (Paul); and his grandchildren, Laura Sakhuja (Kunal), Melanie Springer (Patrick), Nathaniel Stoner-Hoffmann (Sydney) and Kumari Ross. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
