He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Waples, Sr. and Elizabeth Waples; and his siblings, William "Bill" Waples, George H. Waples, Edmund Waples, Sr., Cornelia M. Waples-Henry and Gertrude "Gertie" Waples-Kollock.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Essie Cooper; his wife Deborah; his sons, Bradford Waples, Jr. of Reading, PA, ByNee'Waples (Shanika) of Philadelphia, PA and BabaTunde Waples (Jashaydee) of Reading, PA.; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Maya, Bradford J. Waples III, Zoey, Nzuri and Lheia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
He moved his family—along with his beloved mother-in-law, Essie Cooper, for whom they lovingly provided care after her Alzheimer's diagnosis—to Reading.
