He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Lednum Hopkins; his son Mark Hopkins; and his siblings, Doris Patrick (Pat), Jeannette Davis (Thomas), Kenneth Hopkins (Thelma) and Marion Hopkins.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Hopkins (Goldey Beacom); his son John Hopkins (Jennifer) of Harleysville, Pennsylvania; his daughter-in-law Vivian Hopkins of Dover, Delaware; and his grandchildren, Emily Hopkins (Matthew Geller) of Highland Park and Sgt. Ryan Hopkins (Camille). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Torbert Funeral Chapel (1145 E Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE 19901). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Charles's memory be made to the ASPCA.
