He was predeceased by: his father James Slaughter, Sr.; his grandparents, Edna Slaughter, Earl, Flora and Elsie Tribble; and his godmother Esther Neal.

He is survived by: his mother Irene Slaughter of Salem, NJ; his wife Kelly Slaughter (Finlaw); his children, Samantha, Niyah and Kristopher; his mother-in-law Carol Adams of Salem, NJ; his siblings, James Slaughter, Jr. (Joanne) of Penns Grove, NJ, Steven Slaughter (Sadonya) of Swedesboro, NJ and Heidi Holden (Jeremiah) of Salem, NJ; and his nieces and nephews, CJ, Cheyenne, Aaliyah, Mia and Serena. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
