He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Maberry Hurd and Margaret Raymond Harrington; and his daughter Virginia Anne Hurd. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Margaret Harris; his children, Theodore C. Hurd of Washington, Kathleen M. Hurd of Tokyo, Molly E. Hurd of Washington and Samantha L. Hurd of Washington; his brother Thomas Hurd; his sister-in-law Barbara Hurd; his nephews, Ben and Bo Hurd; and his niece Jessica Hurd.
