He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Jefferson and Ann Shelor; and his brother Richard Kelly Shelor. He is survived by: his wife Susan McPhee Shelor; his sister Lynda Errera; his children, David Matthew Shelor (Nathalie) and Diana Broadway (Charles); and his grandchildren, Maddox Shelor, Jordan Shelor, Brooklyn Shelor, Madison Shelor, Rowen Broadway and McPhee. He is also survived by family members, nieces & nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Gift of Life" program in his name.
