Moyer; her siblings, James A. Pepper, Elizabeth "Betsy" Shreckengast and Patricia "Pepper" Jaffray; her son Charles "Mike" Moyer (Andrea); and her grandson Christopher "Chris" Moyer.

Dorothy volunteered in various church and community organizations, such as the Peninsula Conference Nurses and the American Cancer Society.
