With sadness, we share the passing of Elizabeth Betty Zimmerman (Dover, Delaware). Elizabeth, born on March 6, 1931, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Adam Short, Jr. and Ethel Thompson Short of Harrington, DE; her sister Thelma L. Betts; and her husband Joseph C. Zimmerman, Sr.. She is survived by: her sister Lillian M. Callaway of Harrington; her son Joseph Zimmerman (Jeanne) of Mobile, Alabama; her grandchildren, Adaline Swanbeck (Jason) of Danville, IN, Adam Zimmerman (Brandy), Aaron Zimmerman (Helen), Ashley Ruesch (Jacob) and Andrew Zimmerman (Christina) of Milford, DE; her son Frederick D. Zimmerman (Nanette) of Dover, DE; her grandsons, David Zimmerman of Dover, DE and Brian Zimmerman of Dover, DE; her son Dan M. Zimmerman (Lori) of Dover, DE; her grandchildren, Shawn Rene Zimmerman of Dover, DE and Isaac Zimmerman of Dover, DE; her daughter Nancy Z. Kroeger (Joel) of Bridgeville, DE; her grandsons, Bryan C. Elzey and Matthew J. Kroeger (Brooke); and her sister Lillian Calloway of Harrington, DE. She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Trader Funeral Home, Inc. (12 Lotus St, Dover, DE 19901). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
