It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther E. Brown (Dover, Delaware), who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orietta "Etta" Durham Thorpe and James Nolan Thorpe; her husband Paul A. Brown; her siblings, Clinton Durham, Sandra Stevenson and Ronald Thorpe; and her grandsons, Andre K. Thorpe, Jamaré L. Walker and Sir Kendrick D. Brown.

She is survived by: her children, Valeria A. T. Walker of Dover, DE, Vanessa L. Thorpe, Claude "Duke" Brown III of Vallejo, CA, Keith Potts of Dover, DE, Anthony Potts and Sandra Jenkins of Dover, DE.; her siblings, Caleb Harris of Georgetown, DE, Avis Hicks (Earl) of Magnolia, DE, Keith Harris of Milton, DE and Karen McCants of New Castle, DE; and her grandchildren, Oscar "DePriest" Walker III of Dover, DE, Samuel L. Thorpe, Sr. of Dover, DE, Ashleé D. Walker of Dover, DE, Brittani M. Dorsey (Pierre) of Princess Anne, MD, Brittané D. Brown of Vacaville, CA, Devaniqué D. Brown of Vallejo, CA, Kennedy D. Brown of Vallejo, CA and Anayiah K. Brown of Vallejo, CA. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
