He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin H. Smyser, Sr. and Hazal Fitting Smyser; his brother Robert A. Smyser; and his granddaughter Melony R. Smyser. He is survived by: his wife Emmalyne Rodgers Smyser of Dover; his children, William Smyser of Carlisle, PA, Valerie S. Clark of Shippensburg, PA, Frank H. Smyser, III (Lisa) of Calisle, PA, Shella R. Tribbitt of Felton, Charlotte M. Fisher (Kenneth) of Newville, PA, J. David Farmer of Newville, PA and Richard L. Farmer (Marsha) of Harrisburg, PA; his sisters, Hazel Amanda Smyser and Martha Dick; and his pets, Candi and Patti. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
