He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Way, Sr. and Fannie Louise Jones Hughley; his wife Nettie Lee Johnson Way; his brothers, Herman Hughley and Lamar Jones; and his grandson Jason Cunningham.
He is survived by: his brother Alonzo Jones; and his children, Theola Louise Cooper, Theresa Blakely, Timothy Hill, Winifred Way, Natalie Way, Deborah Way, Fred Way III and Roselyn Way Young. He is also survived by his grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Baptist Church (883 Lincoln St, Dover, DE 19904). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:15 PM at the Sharon Hills Memorial Park (2928 Sharon Hill Rd, Dover, DE 19904).
