He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Lou Patten; and his brothers, Allen Thomas Patten and Christopher Paul Patten. He is survived by: his close friend Paula Wiley; his extended family, McKenzie, Savanah and Tristan of Delaware; his sons, Gary B. Patten Jr. (Alyssa Rively) and Ryan Patten (Nikki Greggins) of Florida; his father George Patten; and his grandchildren, Aria, Gage, Blaise and London.
