He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Clyde and Etta McConnell Salyer; his son David Salyer; and his siblings, Pierce Salyer, Reba Salyer, Jack Salyer (Thelma), Rosemary Salyer Richards (Earl), Frances Salyer Whidden (James), Sidney Salyer (Ruth) and Don Salyer (Pat).
He is survived by: his wife Haruko "Kiko" Tamashiro Salyer; his daughters, Nancy Salyer Murray (Richard Wertman) and Joy Salyer; his granddaughters, Noel Murray and Summer Salyer; and his brother Bill Salyer (Sondra). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Torbert Funeral Chapel (1145 E Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE 19901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
