He is survived by: his wife Barbara Benson Russell; his siblings, William (Jeanette), Charles, Wendell, Geraldine (Ivan) and Emily; his children, Youlanda Hill and James Hall; his stepchildren, Ella Chance, Clifton Hall, Willie Benson and Michael Benson; and his close friends, Cynthia Irby and Sylvia Hawkins. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
