He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cody and Ida Buckner Stewart. He is survived by: his daughter Jaquelin; his wife Donna Jean Mackey Buckner of Dover; his children, Jacquelyn Shoates (Arthur), Richard Buckner, Kelly Buckner, Nichole Buckner and Mary Leon; his siblings, LaMar Peter Moore, Leland "Bubba" Stewart, Kathy Moore, Letitia Burgis and Lisa Fowler; his grandchildren, Sadeek, Taysha, Xavier, Shaday, Marissa, Alicia, Eli, Jayda, Julia, Jenna, Jazlyn, Jillian, Jordyn and Jeremiah; his great grandchildren, Mayleen and Navina (Bean); and his close friends, Calvin Ladson, Nolan Scott and Rick Butler.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Calvary Church Food Pantry, 1141 E. Lebanon Road (RT.10), Dover, De 19901.
