He is survived by: his children, Krystian Bates and Alyssia Bates; his parents, Edward K. Bates and Kathleen Bates; his brother Christopher E. Bates; his sister-in-law Adriana Benas; his nephews, Enric Bates and Jordi Bates; his stepgrandmother Beverly Bates; and his pet TJ. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.
