He is survived by: his children, Beverly Hollinger, Wanda Roe, LuAnn Marsh, Lewis Murphy Jr., John Murphy (Rebecca), Roland Murphy (Katie), Richard Murphy (Benalee), Robert Murphy and Linda Jaggers (Perry); and his brother Donald Murphy. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren.
