He was predeceased by: his former wife Makiko; and his siblings, Alice, Florence Duncan (James), Joseph O'Neill and William O'Neill (Debra).

He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his niece Yevette Tucker; his nephews, Bobby Robinson, Ruben, Dale and Tommy O'Neill; his sister-in-law Agnes O'Neill; his nieces and nephews, Audra O'Neill, Meg Hairston of Lexington, N. C., Maria Wilson of Georgia, Scott of Davidson County, N. C., Brian of Davidson County, N. C., Kevin of Davidson County, N. C., Mickey O'Neill of Davidson County, N. C., Ray of Davidson County, N. C. and Butch Robinson of Davidson County, N. C.; and his close friend Roger Mettenbrink (Dottie).
