We announce the death of Mary McDaniel Harbeson (Dover, Delaware), who passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 77. Mary McDaniel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William P. McDaniel and Dorothy McDaniel (Hill); and her husband John G. Harbeson. She is survived by: her children, Rebecca A. Cronk (Patrick) of Endicott, NY and J. Matthew Harbeson of Camden, DE; her grandchildren, Tyler and Miranda Cronk; her siblings, William P. McDaniel II (Ginger) of Milford, DE and Patricia McDaniel Foltz of Dover, DE; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Connor and Cassidy McDaniel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (209 S State St, Dover, DE 19901). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mary to Wesley United Methodist Church.
