He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Jane Stachecki (Grier); his adoptive son Dave Gregor; and his parents, Stanley Stachecki and Ann Stachecki. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Jr. and Todd; his grandsons, Michael III, Matthew (Rebecca) and Adam (Lauren); his great grandchildren, Simmonds and Hayes; his brother Stanley; Maryann.
They convinced the city of Dover to donate a parcel of land on Horse Pond Road and built a ballpark; the fields, dugouts, concession stands, etc.
