“Miss Mickey was our neighbor as I was growing up. I was in and out of her house constantly as Julie (Judy ) and I were best friends. She was always taking us places and listening to our constant chatter. Never once did I hear her raise her voice or speak ill of someone. She had the most beautiful smile and I always said that Judy Garland looked like Miss Mickey. I have not seen her for more than 50 years, but her spirit was always there when Julie and I would talk on the phone.”
